GDFAS Young Arts -

 ARTiculation 2016/18

ARTiculation is an annual competition designed to encourage senior school pupils to deliver a talk about an art work, artefact or architecture of their choice.
Grampian Young Arts has undertaken to administer and organise the competition in the city on behalf of Stirling University the Scottish organiser.
Just taking part in ARTiculation at every stage is excellent for increasing confidence, public speaking and presentation skills, and a great deal of fun for the pupils.
Although ARTiculation has been running successfully in England since 2006, it is only recently that The Roche Court Educational Trust, the project organisers have expanded their remit to include Scotland- mainly the central belt and Dundee- and this year Aberdeen.
University admission tutors and exam moderators recognise ARTiculation for the rigorous research, communication and presentation skills that it represents.Young Arts delivered two workshops at The Treasure Hub in Aberdeen, to help inspire the pupils taking part.

The regional heat took place in November and our two winners, Laura Tavendale and Grace Carolan will go on to the Scottish Finals in March 2018 to represent Aberdeen.
